πŸ“½οΈVideo shorts

We use Riverside.fm, LinkedInHelper, and Sermonmax to create video shorts.

We learned that creating long-form podcast content takes a lot of time and has low engagement. However, creating short-form video content takes much less time but has much higher engagement.

Step 1: Invite People to Create Content

  1. Identify Potential Guests: Use LinkedIn to identify potential guests for your video shorts. Aim for well-known individuals to attract a larger audience.

  2. Reach Out Using LinkedInHelper: Utilize LinkedInHelper to automate outreach messages to your selected guests. Craft personalized messages to increase the likelihood of a positive response. We shy away from using LinkedInHelper for sales outreach as response rates are low. I guess when you offer something (i.e. creating video content together) vs selling something there's a big difference in response rates.

  3. Provide Information: In your LinkedIn message, introduce yourself and offer the opportunity to be featured in a short video.

  4. Schedule a Call: Once you receive positive responses, share your calendar link (e.g., https://land.hf.app/meetings/hifive/podcast-interview-) to schedule a 15-minute call with them.

Step 2: Preparing for the Call

  1. Prepare Questions: Before the scheduled call, prepare 5-6 questions you plan to ask during the conversation. Tailor these questions to suit the guest's expertise and interests.

  2. Send Questions: Email the questions to your guest ahead of time. This allows them to prepare thoughtful responses and ensures a smoother conversation.

  3. Confirm Recording: Ensure that Riverside.fm is set up to record the call. This will capture high-quality audio and video for later editing and distribution.

Step 3: Conducting the Call

  1. Join the Call: At the scheduled time, join the Riverside.fm call using the provided link.

  2. Introduce Yourself: Start the call by introducing yourself and thanking the guest for joining.

  3. Engage in Conversation: Use the prepared questions as a guide to steer the conversation. Encourage the guest to share their insights and experiences.

  4. Ensure Recording: Confirm with the guest that the call is being recorded for future reference.

Step 4: Post-Call Actions

  1. Download Recording: After the call, download the recorded video and audio files from Riverside.fm. Ensure that the quality meets your standards.

  2. Editing and Enhancement: Work with Kenny from SermonMax (https://www.sermonmax.com) to edit and enhance the video content. They specialize in creating high-quality video shorts.

  3. Publishing: Once the video shorts are ready, publish them on LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter. Optimize the content for each platform to maximize engagement.

  4. Promotion: Promote the video shorts across your social media channels and encourage your guests to share them with their networks.
